They say patience is a virtue. Well, you can call me Virtuous even if my name is really Gilbert. I'm still waiting for my BFF to come and pick me! I get a lot of test drives -- nice people giving me a walk around the block to see if I behave myself around other dogs, people, or children. (Of course, I always pass with flying colors.) They ask my handlers many questions such as, does he like to play fetch (I prefer to fetch treats thrown up in the air), how old is he (I'm about 6 or 7 but does age even matter between BFFs?), does he bark (I'm a thinker, not a barker), is he toilet trained (I was born that way), etc. I'm reserved, pensive and introverted. Translation --- I'm devoted, focused on loving you if you will have me, and the best companion for you if you just like to chill. Does that mean my BFF should be like me or be my opposite? It all depends on you. All I know is if you become my BFF, we will be a match made in heaven. That's a promise. Dogs never break their promises. Intrigued? Let's meet! I'm available for adoption through Maddie's Adoption Program; all of our pets live in foster homes (lucky me!) while awaiting a permanent home. Please contact adoptadmin@maddiesfund.org or call 925 310 5452 for more information.
