RELEASE OF LIABILITY, COVENANT NOT TO SUE, WAIVER AND AGREEMENT I, as a potential adopter, hereby release Gateway Pet Guardians (hereinafter referred to as “GPG”), its officers, agents and employees from all claims of injury or damage caused by an animal while participating in the animal adoption or fostering process. I understand the possibility of my family or others being scratched, bitten, or contracting disease does exist. I agree to be responsible for my children and anyone else handling or in the presence of any animal(s), and will not hold GPG responsible for any injuries that may result from my failure to do so. I AGREE TO NOTIFY A GPG REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY OF ANY BITES THAT BREAK THE SKIN that occur to any person or animal. I understand that the GPG cannot and does not make any representations or warranties, either expressed or implied concerning the temperament, habits, health, pedigree, disposition, age, sex or background of this animal and that I have no right to a reimbursement of medical, adoption or other professional fees. I understand that GPG makes no guarantees or warranties regarding the health or temperament of any animal. I promise and agree to be solely responsible for any animal I visit, and to indemnify and hold harmless GPG from any and all claims of liability for the conduct of this animal during or after we undergo the fostering and/or adoption process. This Release shall apply to all known and unanticipated damages resulting from my visitation, ownership or control of any animal I come into contact with, foster, and/or take control of from and/or with GPG because of my interest in visiting, adopting, or fostering an animal from GPG. I agree to hold harmless, defend and indemnify GPG, it’s officers, contract veterinarians, agents and employees from any and all claims of liability to other persons for injuries or damage arising out of or in connection with services of this program or caused to them or their property by the animal(s) I come in contact with through my participation in the adoption and/or fostering application with GPG.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT I have read the policies outlined in this agreement. I understand that while this is not a contract, I am bound to abide by the polices set herein this agreement. I further understand that GPG may modify, revise, and update this agreement. With this knowledge, I am accepting the policies outlined herein as my condition of volunteer status.
