If the dog has medical needs that are costly, will you be able to afford them?
We treat all known medical issues while the dogs are in our sanctuaries by our veterinarians in China, but there is always the risk that a medical condition is not diagnosed or an issue may be overlooked (such as ear infections, dental issues, parasites, hot spots, injuries, etc.). Our veterinarians in China also do mass sterilizations of all of our dogs. As with any surgical procedure, there is a possibility (albeit rare) of complications, such as leaving remnants of the dog’s reproductive organs, which may require an additional procedure once they are in the United States. If the dog you adopt requires any unexpected medical care, will you be able to cover the cost of such care?
