Grumpy old man alert! This fella is Saul, and while he's a sweetheart on his own terms, he has a few foibles (like we all do when we get older and set in our ways!). This doesn't mean he deserved to die for being a little more persnickety, so we're coming to get you, Saul, and we'll find you a home that can appreciate your eccentricities. Just you wait and see! Saul is a pretty senior Rat Terrier mix that was found as a stray. He's friendly the majority of the time, but there are things he doesn't appreciate - being restrained for medical tests (I'm with you there, Saul, no one likes that!), being woken up from a deep sleep suddenly (again, not really seeing the unusualness of that quirk....), and does not like to be held or picked up (that's where you lost me, Saul, but you do you!). He does have a pretty long list of medical issues, as he's a bit arthritic (that might explain the grouchiness at being picked up), needs some dental extractions and a cleaning, can't see particularly well, and has some skin issues. He's also not neutered. But he's a very calm, low energy pup that just wants to lay in a bed and yell at all the young pups to get off his lawn! He will tolerate other dogs just fine if they leave him be. He is getting a little senile, so he needs a little extra love and patience.
