Please welcome this beautiful girl to our A&F Family. This is Sequoia. Sequoia story is similar to many other pups stories that walk into our barn. We don't know everything but we know enough to tell us this sweet, kind soul has not had an easy life. Her story is of a life on a chain. She has endured thunderstorms , the scorching heat in the summer, the bitter cold of our kansas winters. She has probably never gotten to take walks and enjoyed the new smells those walks bring. She may never have had the chance to go for rides In The car or lay on a couch and watch tv with her person. No dog bed to take a nap in. No blanket to snuggle. Sequoia is 13 years old. Take a minute and think how 13 years on a chain would feel like. And then- take a minute to think about after enduring a life like that- being dropped at a kill shelter to be told you are now in the euthanasia list. The chain around your neck may be gone, but the feeling of being tossed away and forgotten is worse then that physical chain holding you in one place. Well - this life was not Sequoia fault and she certainly didn't ask for that life. So now it's up to us to show her what a love feels like. What a blanket a d a bed, and a roof over her head feels like.
