Meet Patches -- she is a very sweet 4 year old Jack Russell Terrier. Patches was surrendered when she could not stand with her rear legs. It turned out that Patches had a disk issue and was in a tremendous amount of pain. After crate rest and physical therapy, she is much better now, and no longer seems to be hindered by pain. Patches did have a weight problem, but since she is now able to get exercise she has trimmed down nicely. She remains on a special diet, and her snacks are limited to mini training treats, celery, green beans and carrots, all of which she loves. Patches also loves long walks, car rides, play time, and will snuggle up when she is ready for a rest. She is a very funny dog, and keeps her foster mom laughing with her antics. She LOVES to cuddle up under a blanket, and will burrow under one till she gets it just the way she wants it. She is crate trained, and goes into it and gets completely under her blanket when she is ready to go to bed. In the morning, she patiently waits in her crate till it's time to get her day started. She is potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She's a smart pup, is learning to sit and stay, and seems to enjoy training sessions. She loves meeting new people, and after enthusiastically greeting them, lays down on her back for a belly rub. Because of her excitability she would do best in a home without young children or other dogs. She has lots of energy and needs plenty of exercise. We would love to see our wonderful Patches unite with her forever family! If you are interested in Patches, click 'Apply for Adoption'!
