Meet Pan (like Peter Pan)! Pan is a sweet boy who we think is about 4 years old and around 55 lbs. Pan is very shy at first but is gaining confidence every day. He is medium energy and would do best in a quiet home where he can have a regular routine. He's suuuper sweet and once he warms up to people, likes cuddling, snoozing on the couch next to you while you work from home, and going for walks. He gets along well with dogs but given his shyness prefers dogs who are on the calmer side. While we think Pan would be fine in many environments, we are recommending a home without young children because he can be fearful of loud noises and sudden movements. Similarly, noisier environments where he has to see strangers in the halls or on a busy street would probably be hard for him. If you have questions about whether you'd be a good fit, we'd be happy to discuss with you! Pan is undergoing treatment for heartworms and is available through our foster-to-adopt program. If you apply to adopt Pan, it's a win-win: the rescue covers the remaining treatment costs, and Pan gets to go to his furever home. If you're interested in learning more about Pan, submit an application! ** Please note that due to COVID-19 and stay at home orders, we are not having our usual adoption events or allowing in-person meetings to come meet the dogs. The first step in the process is to submit our online application. Virtual meet and greets over the phone/computer will be set up with local applicants only, before selecting the best fit for adoption. Thank you!
