Mai means dance in Japanese. True to her name when volunteers enter the room Mai goes through a series of antics (her dance?) to get attention. Mai is on the small side with a beautiful sleek, black coat and pretty yellow eyes. She likes to be pet, but she says no to being picked up. She loves to jump onto the laps of staff and volunteers, and she will stay as long as she is permitted. In fact, when it is time for her to get down, she might object with a nibble to the hand. In a home environment, we are confident that she would be very entertaining.
