Let's talk about Bru-no-no-no!!! Bruno had a great time during his foster vacation to an actual casita. He was anxiously excited at first because it had been a while since he'd been in a casita & the nice lady there told him it had been a while since she'd had a Bruno stay with her. He knew he had a lot to teach her! First, she had so many squirrels and birds in her yard! He had to pace back & forth from front window to back window to make sure they didn't get in the house. Once he had been there a few days & had really inspected the structural integrity of the house, he was able to relax knowing they couldn't get in. When he went outside, he did a good job making sure they knew not to come in the yard. He loved going on walks & we were able to go on multiple ones a day. Sometimes the nice lady didn't know which way to go, but that was ok, he led her right down the sidewalk & always knew which way to go to get back to the casita. Bruno liked meeting all the neighborhood dogs & even saw a neighborhood cat or two. Bruno thinks cats are pretty cool because they assist him with his bird & squirrel duties. The other thing he had to help the nice lady with was tag removal. She had recently moved into the casita and he needed to rid every towel, blanket, dog toy, pillow, etc of their little tag. He didn't want her to look tacky to other visitors. Bruno especially loved meeting the small dogs in the neighborhood & even met a 2 month old pug puppy that he wanted to be his best friend. Bruno loves bones & of course he had several on his vacation. He's a very good boy so he also had many treats. One of his favorite treats was ice cubes that the nice lady would put in his water after a walk. He liked to go "bobbing for them & no doubt would be a hit at Halloween parties. He also told the nice lady he was very interested in knowing more about this "Ham they kept eating for lunch. He was very sure he'd like it for lunch too if that nice lady had been nice enough to share. He went in his crate easily-really easily if a treat was tossed in first. He went in there when the nice lady ate meals, if she left to run an errand, and to sleep. He enjoyed car rides and was very good at sitting in the back seat. He'd ride in the car all day long as he wasn't too excited to get out. He even took a walk through an office park one morning and was very excited to go into all the offices to see if they needed any good boys on staff. Unfortunately they were closed that day, but he wouldn't mind checking again one day when they're open. Bruno also learned about stairs. They were kinda weird at first but he practiced every day and got better and better at them. He even tried to go down backwards, and well, thinks he got a little ahead of himself. He also learned about vacuum cleaners but was quite happy he didn't have to practice that EVERY day. Bruno did have one accident in the nice casita. It was on the first night and the nice lady took him out really late and forgetting sometimes he had to sniff around before finding the best spot took him back inside too early. He could use a little brush up on his inside manners but was getting better every day. If he had another doggie friend in his forever casa, he'd follow the lead and learn to be the best inside doggie. His favorite game to play with people was keep away and would grab the nice lady's shoe and run around the house. Sometimes, he'd even shake it like he was really killing it but when she'd get it back from him, it was still in perfect condition-aside from maybe being a little damp. He can be a little mouthy-not trying to bite but just being excited and sometimes coming at you mouth open. The nice lady would watch him around young children and older people, just to make sure he wasn't getting too excited. Overall, it was a great casita trip! Bruno can't wait to find his forever casita and help out the family there.
