Flora is a good dog and was adopted four months ago. As most puppies go thru many stages as they develop, her current house has very young children and the family feels it would be better for Flora to be rehomed. We do not judge so no comments bashing anyone. We feel a family needs to make the best choices for what works for them. Not everyone has the time or ability to work on behaviors or feels confident enough to take it on. They love her very much and only want the best for her. She is almost 7 months old, spayed, up to date on vaccines, chipped. Her current weight is about 42 lbs. The good is she has great manners, knows sit, stay, lay down, roll over, wait to start eating, great on leash, loves adults, great playing with other dogs and seems to adapt to their playstyle. She's also crate trained, housebroke, plays fetch and loves hikes! The bad...has been growling at the kids in some instances but in others she's very nice and loving. She's also been doing some resource guarding with toys and stolen items. We do not consider her a behavioral dog. This is fairly common for puppies to go thru phases. She may not be comfortable with fast moving kids, or just going thru a fear stage which so many do. Whatever the reason we feel strongly she just needs a firm hand, clear rules and a bit of time to get past this. We'd like to find a home with older kids or no kids, willing to work on the guarding and we will provide a couple sessions with our trainer if needed to set up the adoption for success. www.mainstreetmuttrescue.com/adoption.html Adoption fee is $450, up to date on vaccines, chipped, and spayed Please READ all the information if interested, as due to email volume we may not answer if you request info that is included in this information.
