Wow! When certain breeds mix you sometimes scratch your head at the combination. But this beautiful boy both with the luxurious chocolate brown coat with tan markings is a stunner. Hunter is an eight-month-old Great Pyrenees/ Weimaraner who was surrendered recently though he was not originally adopted through us. Hunter was a second dog and playmate but their energy levels did not match and their first dog had major problems adjusting to Hunter. The family lives in an area with chickens and it would appear that Hunter was aptly named because he liked those chickens a little too much and that caused conflicts as you can imagine. Those issues aside, Hunter is a very sweet and trainable dog who will benefit from a family who understands the need for immediate behavior training and strong boundaries. Take two outstanding breeds, give him a dash of spunk, a love of all things people, and a passion for loving, and you have Hunter. Hunter is a wonderful blend of athletic, devoted, and crazy intelligent. He needs to be in a home where people are willing to routinely give him exercise and challenge him to be the best dog he can be. Hunter already has some nice inside manners and is currently about forty-five pounds and has some growing to do. We're guessing he might grow to be about sixty pounds but that's just a guess. Of course, you'll want to take the time and patience to get him used to your systems and the surroundings, but this is a dog you do not want to miss. If you are interested in a large dog with a warm temperament then please come as soon as possible to meet Hunter.
