Meet Dune! Dune is a 9 Buffy tabby who has been in a foster home and bottle fed since he was about 2 weeks old. Dune is from the West LA shelter and he came to us very sick with an eye infection and upper respiratory infection. His foster got him back to good health, and he has been thriving ever since. Dune has QUITE the personality. His foster mom has fostered over 50 kittens in her life, and she says that Dune has one of the biggest personalities out of all of them. The first thing you should know about Dune is that he LOVES his foster dog brother (who is 40 lbs). He grew up with the dog and loved bothering him and playing with him. He also had two cat foster siblings who he enjoyed playing with. He came to us solo, but his foster had to get him a couple of kitten friends to teach him kitten manners and to help him exert his playful energy! Dune actually acts like a dog himself because we think he picked up on his foster dog brothers traits as he grew up. He's extremely friendly and outgoing. He's absolutely fearless and confident - he isn't scared of anything. He will greet you at the door and when he's done playing, will sit and purr on your lap while he sleeps. He's always in the mix of everything and wants to be interacting with humans or other animals at all times! He is not afraid of strangers and will actually greet them and jump right into their laps. He's met several kids, adults, and other cats, plus the dog and has done well with everyone he meets. Dune would make a great addition for an active household that has time to entertain and play with him. He's not afraid of loud noises or a lot of running around - he wants to be part of the action! Because of Dune's high energy level, we recommend he goes into a home with other animals or if alone, someone who is extremely dedicated to playing with him a lot. Otherwise, we are afraid he might not be able to get out his excessive energy if he's alone. He's a really great little kitten who is playful and energetic, while also being extremely affectionate. Whoever adopts Dune will be very lucky! At adoption, Dune will come microchipped, up to date on vaccines, neutered and we have his medical history since he was two weeks old.
