Boston is a 5year old yellow female Golden Retriever mix who is house trained, walks well on a leash, and likes to spend a lot of time napping. She is good with other dogs her size, but doesn't like them to boss her around (prefers not to have any friends that are cattle dogs). Boston uses a doggie door and loves to play fetch with balls but doesn't do well with children. Boston was overweight when she arrived at Pet Allies, so she did have blood work done, to check that there was not a physical reason for her chubby size. Everything was good. Boston is getting play time, exercise and loving attention here at the shelter. The staff is so happy to see she has lost 14 pounds, weighing in at 63.12 lbs now. Sadly, Boston is developing stiffness in her hindquarters, and is on several medications to make her more comfortable moving around. These medication can be obtained from Pet Allies at cost. Adoption fee $75.00 is waived to the right home, who will help Boston be comfortable and enjoy her retirement home. ***** Pet Allies Shelter, 1181 E Thornton Road, Show Low, AZ 85901, 928-537-8009, open Monday-Thursday 11-3, Friday & Saturday 11-4 Pet Allies Clinic, 4050 S White Mountain Road, Show Low, AZ 85901, 928-532-1602, call Monday-Thursday 10-4 Barkin' Basement Thrift Store, 4050 S White Mountain Road, Show Low, AZ 85901, 928-537-1603, open Monday-Thursday 10-4, Friday & Saturday 10-5 Visit www.PetAlliesAz.org for more information.
