My name is Scooby and I can go from the laziest cuddle dog to a goofy zoomer in 1 second! I am first and foremost a lap dog. I love getting attention and can be lazy with you for hours. Even though I might seem lazy I do love going for walks, wherever you go I love to be! I am a little heavier and I pull because I'm so excited, but I do take corrections well. My heartbreaker trick is to sit and give you both my paws because I don't like to just give one. It looks like I'm begging and that's because I am... begging for cuddles! I also know basic commands like wait, lay, and no. I love to go for car rides, lay in the sun, and chew on a bone. I love to eat so, while you pour my food I go to my designated food spot and sit until you put the bowl of food down for me. I love any treats you give me and love to stay close to you when you eat in case you drop scraps. I've been around large dogs all my life, but I get nervous around new dogs until I warm up to them. It takes me a few weeks to trust new dogs but once I do I like to play with them. I'm not a fan of cats so please keep them away from me! When I do get playful, I forget how heavy and strong I am which makes it hard to play with smaller children, but if older kids would wrestle with me I'd have a blast. I am used to crates but don't usually use one because I can be trusted in the house while you are away. I am house trained and know how to use a dog door for when I need to go, but I also will give you signs I need to potty if the dog door is closed. Scooby is participating in The Love Pit's iREHOME program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by TLP. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
