Hi Everyone, I am Kamikaze, Kaze for short and am a little over a year old. You will always feel loved when you walk in the door to see how excited I am to greet you, even if you only left 2 min ago. I just love my owners and people in general and get very excited to meet new people. I love to snuggle and be loved on, especially if my owners are sitting on the floor or trying to do yoga. I am a really goofball and toy fetcher and will run after it for as long as you keep throwing it. I have lots of energy but also know how to calm down on my bed when told. I love food and am very motivated by treats and bones. Even though I get very excited about food, I still know how to lie down and stay until released to have my food for as long as you tell me. I also know sit, bed, leave it, shake, come, and release. I love my 6 year old human sister and my 11 year old rat terrier (small dog) sister so much that I forgot I'm bigger than them sometimes because I'm so excited to play. I'm house-trained and used to be crate trained but my humans got rid of my crate because they have a small house and my crate was so big since I weigh about 68 lbs. I stay out in the house when they leave and don't have accidents or tear things up, but I can't resist getting onto the couch as soon as they leave. I do need to be fed separately from my dog sister because I'm so excited about food that I forget my manners sometimes. I also forget my manners sometimes when out on a walk or on a leash. I'm looking for an active owner or family that has time for daily exercise, more opportunities for training and possibly another dog to play with if we're compatible but could also be happy being the only dog in the house. I currently eat a raw diet but I'm not picky about what I eat and can be flexible in this area. Kaze is participating in The Love Pit's iREHOME program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by TLP. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
