Benji is a 4 year old Pittie mix that was recently adopted from the Dallas Animal Services shelter. He's a big lap dog who loves to cuddle, go on walks and play fetch. He is potty trained and since I've had him he's now learned to sit, shake, and lay down as far as commands. He was initially put into a crate and left in my bedroom whenever I would leave the house but always found a way to get out so now I just leave him in the room if I need to step out and he does just fine. From what I've observed, he has no problems around strangers or children. The shelter mentioned that he had no issues with other dogs. He gets really excited when we see another dog outside on our daily walks simply because he wants to meet and play. Benji is about 65lbs, neutered, and up to date on all shots. The only reason I'm looking to find a better home for Benji is because my older dog has always been reactive towards bigger dogs especially when they're in his personal space. The few times I've had them together he would act aggressive and unfortunately it doesn't look like that behavior will change towards Benji. Benji is participating in The Love Pit's iREHOME program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by TLP. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.
